September 2, 2020 (COVID days)
During COVID the in person restrictions vary as things go from bad to being
managed and then to bad again. We had a window to get in some service work for
the Acadia Community gardens.
With the over abundance of Yellow Raspberry bushes at Karl's the plan was to
transplant all the raspberries that were escaping their original beds.
Assessing the situation. Taste pretty good. |
Looks like we got a team of Ninja's in here. |
At the community garden site now, digging out the new homes. |
We expanded the area from our original project a couple years back. |
What should you know about transplanting raspberries? How deep should the
hole be? |
They'll need a good watering. |
Top them off with some of their original soil. |
A misty spray works best. |
Cleanup, and put away all the buckets. |
Roll up and put away the hose. |
How hard could this be? |
Hard, Hard. dang spigot. |
Too much spray leaking out here. |
Our senior gardener finally takes care of it. |

|
And now for the real dangerous part of the
activity - The monkey bars and Grounders |
|
|
Such balancing skills here |
Phillip takes the splits. |
Some of the boys take to the aerial tier. |
Bishop steadies himself while catching his breath. |
The aerial advantage may not hold out here. Sam's locked onto him. |
The gap is closing and the maneuvers are getting complicated. |
Running out here and need Ashton needs to drop down. Can he do it? |
One escape path is bottle-necking. |
Phillip misses seeing Sam on the slide. |
Her arms clamp on while stealthily ascending. |
Threat seems to have passed. |
Brothers engage. |
And then we went home. Nice bit of service
edible benefits. |
